Hi all,

We have uploaded a new installer for Shovel Knight that will update your version of the game to 1.0E. Please download the new installer at your convenience so that you have the latest and greatest version of the game :)

Changes for 1.0E:

•NEW: Controller option allows disabling all controller use in game.
Intended for players who might prefer to use external gamepad mapping
tools -- we’ll continue to support as many input devices as we possibly can!

•NEW: Feat progress is immediately saved upon unlocking. Previously,
Feats could be unlocked but lost by the regular saving mechanisms if a
game exited or turned off before reaching an autosave point.

•NEW:Direction inputs can be bound to multiple buttons--just press more
than one input at once. Intended for players who wanted to map Shovel
Drop to its own button.

•Fix: Removed an “empty” Song Scroll from Clockwork Tower which could
never be collected or turned in.
•Fix: “Reflect Lord Feat” only incrementing enemies hit count if it the
reflected attack was non-fatal.
•Fix: DualShock button prompts not auto-detecting.
•Fix: Treasure Knight getting caught on walls during vertical downward
anchor shots.
•Fix: Player could retreat to the previous screen during Specter
Knight’s battle.
•Fix: (Alchemy Lab) Sound would loop forever if the Potion Master mid
boss was defeated at a certain frame
•Fix: (Tower: ????) Soft lock fix involving NPC AI.
•Fix: Double KO end to a boss battles disabled access to pause and relic
menus.
•Potential Fix: LogitechWingmanRumblepad controller bindings. Please let
us know if you are still experiencing issues with any device!
•Additional controller support. Thank You to everyone who submitted
their devices!
•Fix: “Halfway” Feat unlocking when re-clearing a stage.
•Fix: Black Knight ignores damage during Plains intro. For some players,
there was a small window of opportunity to Ground Spark which could
cause Black Knight to go off script.
•Fix: Sparker Feat not unlocking when defeating Black Knight.
•Fix: Player and Encounter Map movement halting the game under certain
vsync/video settings.
•Fix: Monitors running higher than 60hz running at double speed or faster

In my own experience Shovel Knight was problem free except for an issue with one specific game pad. Still it is encouraging to see an already well functioning great game being properly attended to by its developers and continuously being made even better :)
It also great too hear how determined they are to please the users in regards to controllers.
All this sounds very much like genuine craftsmanship (something I wish they could teach developers of the business software used in the corporation were I work!!!).
I can't wait to buy your next game, Yacht Club Games!
We updated the the installer as there was a problem with the game deleting your saves when uninstalling. Please download the new installer at your earliest convenience :)

To properly back up your saves, go to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Yacht Club Games\Shovel Knight
and copy all the files you find within.

You can just install the new build over your current game but make sure to back up your saves :)

btw: if Windows7/Vista users are unable to locate the appdata folder just open a random windows-explorer window and type in "%appdata%" (without ").
Its hidden in these two os for some assinine reason. Proceed as discribed by Judaslscariot
