So I tried installing Shogo off my old cd with no luck. I downloaded it from GoG here and got it all setup and installed, but every time I play it, the Windows border keeps flashing through. It happens every couple seconds, but irregularly. The game is perfectly playable but this is extremely annoying.

When I tried to edit resolutions, I noticed strange values (see attached screen), so I went in and manually edited the resolution to 1680x1050 thinking that would fix it, but that didn't seem to work either.

I'm running:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor
4.00 GB DDR3 Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5770

I have Shogo set to compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME, disabled visual themes and running as administrator.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try running it before setting it to Compatibility mode? GoG versions of games are tailored to run on modern systems, so try turning it off and see what happens. (sorry don't know much about PC stuff)
I am having the same flashing box problem with GOG version in Win7 32-bit on a Dell E6500 notebook with NVidia 160M. Happens repeatedly until the game crashes.

If I take the screen res down, then it takes longer to crash. Movies are especially bad. Seems it may be related to the amount of change on the screen??

I have tried disabling a few display options, but still get the box. Alt-ENTER doesn't maximise/fix. Tried compatibility mode but Win7 has put the game in permanent 98/ME compatibility mode and greyed the box so I can't disable it or change to Win2000 as the support site suggests.

Any help appreciated. I really loved this game ten years ago and am looking forward to playing it again.
