So, that's the message I get when I try to run Shadowrun Returns :) I googled it a little and tried following:
- Replace mono.dll (using one supported by Unity devs).
- Run anti-virus scan (I'm clean it seems)
- Compatibility modes (I know it's stupid, but worked for Deadly Premonition :))
- Checking fonts (all fine).
Specs: XP, GeForce GT 220, Realtek audio, all with up to date drivers.

When I double-click holding ctrl I get usual 'ooops'. Tried with both ctrls.
Is there any other way to enter configuration menu?

Hmm, no idea sorry. Maybe you can edit resolution via registry, but this will not guarantee that the game will run.
Try sending the crash files to info@hbs-studios.com.

Checked their forums - they have no solution and claim it's some Unity issue :(

You can either wait for another patch/new OS or get your money back via 30 Day Money Back Guarantee if you got it in this promo.

I'll just sit on my butt, play some of my backlog and wait for a fix :)

Your first suggestion however fixed my problem of having a tiny window for the game, so I appreciate the advice!

I was having a small black window just hanging there, did this and now I have it working! WOO!

Just some more info :) Installing DLC does not help - the game still crashes before it starts, ctrl + double click still doesn't work.
Installing Unity kit (to install possibly missing .dll files on my computer) does nothing :)
EDIT.
Just made it work :) uncl.ftt file (in windows\fonts directory) was responsible. It's gone now and the game works perfectly :)
Now I'm really glad I bought the DLC :)
