I am having really low framerate with the SK2 and when I left click always "stick". I am running this game on vista 64 with a core 2 quad and 4 gig of ram.

Try setting the affinity of the game to just one core of your processor....

Can you do that with a command line?
There are a few applications you can try to do that from the command line. Try searching for "RunFirst" or "TaskAssign". (I haven't used any of those yet, but I've seen mentions of them somewhere).

The GOG.com version does this by default
I recently purchased this title and I am also experiencing similar problems. Does anybody have a solution? I am running Windows 7 32bit. I have already tried a variety of compatibility settings; XP, 98, etc.
The mouse input is very sticky and the overall processing is choppy, for lack of a better word. I also have the apparently common 'no music' issue as well. Help is appreciated.
*UPDATE: Techs have just informed me that Windows 7 does not have full support for GOG games yet :( I guess that answers the questions about music and choppinesssssssss

Have you tried the in-game speed adjusting. Keys 1-9 on keybord? ;)
