One of the reviews starts by saying "Good luck figuring out how to play this game". I've been looking for a new game with some depth to it, so I bought it after reading that. It turns out that this one was the absolute easiest to learn of all Paradox games I've played, including CK2, V2 and EU3-4. Practically no learning curve and not much depth compared to other Paradox games. Does anyone moderate these joke or trolling reviews so that people aren't taking them seriously and using them as a purchasing consideration?

You ever considered that this is their first game from paradox & seriously don't know how to play it?

I originally didn't know how to play any of the paradox games till watching others play them on youtube. Sengogoku was the game I used to learn how to play ck2 because it's tutorial is very lakcing & just shows basic stuff & leaves the rest to you to figure out.

Actually consider your post before labeling their reviews as 'trolls' or 'joke' as every person I've bought these games for also had no idea what to do & needed to be taught by person (voice chat &/or video streaming of the game) versus lazy tutorials.

ArchTerran, you have it right. In my case, I'm no dummy. I've been playing (and programming) computer games since the mid '70s, but this one has thrown me for a loop. I bought the first EU when it came out, but never really got into it so I didn't get very far. Now I've found Sengoku, which I really like in principle, but there are some, what I would call, oddities, about it that I just can't get my head around. The upshot is that I find myself playing with one arm tied behind my back--unable in some instances to figure out WHAT to do, and in others HOW to do it--so that I'm only doing the most basic things and missing out on half (the rather more important half, I expect) of the game.

I don't like YouTube much, as I'm older and prefer print communicatons, but I think I'll have to give in and follow your implicit suggestion by resorting to it. Thanks for mentioning it.
