I am noticing something wrong on my copy of Screamer 2.

Even if I do have the buffer memory size for DOSBox that runs the game set to 512 megabytes, and playing not on 3dfx mode, there are certain parts of the game I find where the frame rate is lagging. Not heavily lagging like one or five frames per second, but something low enough where it can bother me trying to beat Leagues 3 and 4.

Has anyone seen this problem? Because I want to know how to increase the frame rate and make the game smoother to play on laptops. (the lagging in Championships do bother my progress in some way and can affect how I am trying to win the leagues.)

The laptop I'm using is an HP Pavillion dv6, with Windows 7 64-bit and four 1.90 GHz AMD processors, with 5.48 GB of usable RAM. I have about 560 GB of free hard drive space currently.

Please help me out.

In the rendering options, under the start menu , switch to Open GL mode, it's much smoother on more odd configurations.
