I played the original game a few years ago and loved it, so I couldnt resist picking up the Directors Cut on GOG.

One thing thats stumped me however is the inclusion of the new alternate ending, I've just finished the game this evening, and as far as I can tell the ending is exactly the same as it used to be?

Am I missing somthing? Do I have to enable or trigger the new ending somehow? Or are they just refering to the bonus chapter 'The Last Visit' as the new ending?

It seems this forum is quite dead compared to other games, however I managed to find my own answer.

I dont want to post any spoilers so I'll keep it brief, but for those interested in accessing the alternate ending your typewriter is the key.

Just a little update, as I am rescinding my offer of help. I have had a couple of PM's recently regarding the secret ending, unfortunately it is nearly four years since I played the game, and I really cannot remember the details any more, heck I am surprised this thread is still near the top of the first page after so long.
