i've bought the game about a year ago and never got the game to actually work. i continuously run get this error after i install HELP! :)

Try any of these solutions:


-Reinstall the game(outside of Program Files, if that's where you first installed it)
-When you first run the game, if you make it to the main menu, go to options - graphics - and disable bump mapping. It's the second upper option in the menu
-Redownload the game with your AV turned off, just in case one of the files was corrupted during the previous download
-Experiment with various compatibility settings.


These are the first things that come to mind. Maybe you should give a few more details(like your specs).
