What hardware and system do you have? On mu Win7 64b, C2D, Radeon 4870 I have no problems with that...

I cannot confirm the changed settings. But they are available.
Vista Premium 32b
AMD Athlon 64 2x 5000+
Radeon HD4850
3GIG RAM

I am having the same problem. I can see and select all graphics options, but there is no way to confirm or accept, so nothing actually changes

It seems like the main menu runs at a fixed resolution or something. I went ahead and started a new game and after loading my monitor flickered and my resolution was changed.
So, I guess it sets the resolution when you start playing?
