If you have a friend at Nightdive Studios you should tell them to do Sacrifice next. Just some QOL improvements (resolution, widescreen, fps, fov, ui scaling, etc) would put this over the edge for me. But as it is there are just too many hurdles for me to want to bother with it right now.

They don't have a right to do anything with it. They can't sell it, they can't release that remaster for free either, because Interplay would be losing money. And if you don't want to bother then I guess that is your loss. Or great saving of time, if after all stuff done it would still not work.

"Do Sacrifice next" implies getting the rights. I don't really understand why my wishing the game ran better on modern systems makes you so angry.

Because you are dreaming of something that is not going to happen. Interplay was planning to sell their IPs. I think around 2016. They wanted millions for the package. I think nobody would pay this much for a package of titles that mostly 40 yo remember. Besides across all platforms I ever used I always managed to run Sacrifice just fine.
