Lurtz: I bought Sacrifice at Steam and unfortunately it flickers constantly, the whole skybox disappears every few seconds, which is very annoying. I'm running Win7 64-bit with an AMD Radeon HD 7950.
Does the GOG version have less issues with modern computers or will I likely have the same problems?
It's been said here many times. In fact there're even few topics just below that one you started, why didn't you read them first? It's not about config or computer specs or steam/gog version but only about resolution ratio (widescreen).

Change resolution in the registry to the highest one 4:3 that works for you without flickering. Might try these hotfixes from website above, but for me they didn't work (they're 16:10 or 16:9 aspects) so I had to change registry (as instructed) manually to 1152x900 which was the highest resolution that worked for me (1366x768 "normal" reso).
Have fun, game's definitely worth it.
