My character is unable to pick swords, Why is this happening? Is it a bug or something?

was it some sot or tentacle thing that comes out of the floor? That thing took my sword and threw it away, then I could not take swords anymore.

I'm having the same issue and wondered if anyone had stumbled onto a solution.

I find it odd my character will actually look at the sword but still be unable to pick it up.

Just chiming in that I also had this problem. Managed to pick up the sword in the starting village fine, but couldn't pick any up after that.

I 'fixed' it by starting the game over again, and the bug didn't occur that time. Fortunately I wasn't too far in, so it wasn't a big deal.

I'm now in the underworld and it's happened again, except with maces. I can pick up goblin clubs fine, but I can't grab any of the maces that I find, even if I throw the club away.

Super annoying, and definitely some kind of bug.

I found the issue with swords in the underworld too. A thing grabbed me and then I threw a sword at it. Now I can't pick swords ever since I tried to pick back the one I threw. All weapons work except swords.

I have the same problem, and swords look like they are floating some cm from the ground. I cannot pick up axes too (in Hel, a dark room with skeletons, and shields and axes on the wall)..
