i have tried running this game with the exe and launcher with compatability mode doing its thing and running as an admin. After 10-15 mins or so the game locks up and takes the rest of my pc with it so i have to hit the reset button. Can anybody give me advice on how to fix this problem as i would realy like to play.

RCT has never needed compatibility mode for me, on any of my machines or installs. Try turning it off (and possibly turning off "run as admin" as well) and see what that does for you.
