It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble launching the game.

First try turning off UAC (User Account Control FYI). UAC tends to prevent games from installing/launching. Here are the instructions on how to turn off UAC:

http://www.gog.com/en/support/support_view/Disabling_User_Acount_control_on_Windows_Vista_and_7

Make sure to uninstall the game first and then turn off UAC and use the "Run as admin" option on our installer.

Second, please make sure to install the game OUTSIDE of Program Files as that is a protected folder in Windows Vista/7 and tends to cause havoc with some older games.

Third, and this is something I have noticed with certain games and I am not sure if it will apply to this one :D, make sure you don't have any instances of Chrome running in the background. Chrome tends to block certain games from launching (for example, the bonus level for Tomb Raider 4 will not even run if Chrome is running). Shut down Chrome and make sure all instances of it are gone by checking in Task Manager under the Processes tab.

Last, but certainly not least, if none of the above helps, please don't hesitate to contact our Support department with your DxDiag attached and as detailed description of the problem as you can give.

Thanks for your patience :D

mistermumbles: Seriously? Why would a web browser affect the ability of running other apps/games? Sounds like a downright lousy coding job on Google's part.
I am not knowledgeable about the technical reasons behind that, therefore, I'll spare myself from looking like an idiot :P

It does this with King of Dragon Pass: your screen resolution gets changed when you attempt to launch the game...and that's it. Enjoy your low-res desktop :D.

Maybe Chrome is a prototype of HAL? "I can't let you do that, Dave."
