I got the game and downloaded the recommended patch for all the RCT 1 stuff to add to RCT 2, but I don't actually see any mention of how to install it. I'm guessing that is because it is REALLY simple. Alas I'm a tech idiot so really simple is still a pain for me and any help is appreciated. Also, once installed, does it cover up an existing files? By that I mean will I need to get rid of it or turn it off to get to the original RCT 2 scenarios to run? THANKS. :)

Anyone?
Bueller?
I GOT IT. Enough playing around will fix anything! :P
Which patch for RCT2 do you mean? And what does it put from RCT1 into RCT2?

It is all of the scenarios from #1 put into #2. Works great too. Installs into the regular game at the appropriate difficulty levels with a little RTC there to let you know it was from the original. Give me a sec and I'll try to find the link for it.

Nice one! Don't think I'd heard of this before (but it has been quite a long time since I last played RCT2 (and even longer since I last played RCT1).

So, did you figure out how to install it and what it does in the game, as in turning on/off various scenarios or is it really just a simple addon installer that adds new scenarios and leaves the rest of the game untouched with no need to make further changes?

It's easy and there is no turning on or off. I went into the zip file which contains a folder with the #1 scenarios. I copied those (just the scenario files NOT the folder) and then pasted them into the scenario folder for #2. I take it you can find your RTC2 folder and files? There is a seperate scenario folder there, paste them into that. Now when you play again they will show up under the "load park" or whatever its called along with all the others. They SHOULD automatcally be in the right difficulty menu and they should have RTC written before the park title.

Cool, I will have to give this a try.

Let me know how it works.
Let me get this straight: it adds the RCT1 scenarios into RCT2? Even the same objectives and all that? Because if it does, it's a heck of a thing. So many things that I wanted to do in the first one that is possible only in the second (build elevated food shacks, for instance).

Hmmmm, I haven't really gotten into them. I'm still screwing around with the tutorials and playing around with outlandish coaster design. Never hurts to install the addons and check I suppose. The file is free and it doesn't screw up the game, just adds the RCT 1 scenarios. If you find out give the thread a heads up. :D
Just tested and OH MY GOD it is really the same scenarios from RCT1, but the objectives are harder! XD
This is mandatory to anyone that just have the RCT2.

Thanks for bringing this up bro.

My pleasure.
I'm still pissed that the game has every major Six Flags park ACCEPT Mid America. It would have been so cool to tinker with the park I spent the bulk of my childhood at.

As for the patch someone told me about it when I bought the game a few weeks ago. I wish I knew who to give the credit too because everyone loves this thing.
