I'm on a 64-Bit Windows 10 machine and I bought RCT2 a while ago. While it does launch, 99% of the time it crashes when I try to load a file or save my game. The file itself isn't corrupted; that 1% of the time it loaded just fine, and I can't save anything else anyways. The trouble is, it used to work more reliably. I've since tried to get that function to work by setting compatibility modes, booting on admin mode, setting it to both 8-bit and 16-bit colour modes and changing around perms for all users and it still fails to work. I somehow don't run into this problem on RCT1 so I really don't know what's happening.

OpenRCT2 should solve any and all problems you're having, while being vastly superior.
Yeah I have OpenRCT2 but I just want to play the original for a change.

Idk, nostalgia? Regardless it should simply work and there must be a way for it to work without OpenRCT2.

Some ideas, but not sure it could help :
- Do you run the game through Galaxy ? If yes, maybe try the offline installer ?
- Verify if installation folder and saved game folder are in "read only" mode or not.
- Try to uninstall totally the game and to instal in another folder ? A totally different folder. If it was installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 Triple Thrill Pack", try in "C:\GOG Games\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 Triple Thrill Pack" for example.

I'm on Win10 64bits, and I don't have any issue... I hope that with some luck this still may help :P
And personally, I like to play the original versions :) (even if I like OpenRCT2 too :))
