Can not get the LDK to work. I've extracted the software into my ROTT folder and I go into the Binaries\Win32 folder and run the ROTTEditor application. It boots up the game instead of the editor.

What am I doing wrong?

You go to the game's root folder and run the LDK publisher .exe file. From there you click the UnrealED button to bring it up.

I've tried that. When ever I run the LDK publisher .exe file, it crashes.

Hm, that's not good. First thing I would recommend is re-downloading the LDK just in case a file/some files was/were corrupted in the download.

Now, I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think updating the game would have any effect on the LDK's functionality. If it does have problems with the new update, though, I would imagine re-downloading the LDK would fix such issues since I'm sure they would have updated it.

Aside from all that, try running the program as an Administrator. If you have Windows 8, run it in compatibility mode for Win 7.

Failing everything else, you would probably do better to contact the appropriate tech support. This forum and their forums are a bit dead, and at least some of the devs post on their forums. Good luck sorting out your issues.

I think it has a problem with my hardware/software. I have reinstalled the game, patched it, downloaded and installed the LDK.. Which is funny because I use UDK on this computer weekly. I'm running on XP-Pro as an admin.

To be honest, I'm having a much better time making new levels in the original ROTT and DUKE3D :D And the new ROTT isn't a very fun game, so I probably wouldn't really play any levels I make.
