Picked up this game as a bonus during gog summer sale. Looks great, but no sound or music when starting the game or even the initial intro? Very weird. All other games have sound / work fine (including various UE4-engine-based games). Anyone else seen this problem?

This is not a problem with my system, so I'd like to know what the bug with the game is.

Dunno, I'm on Windows 10 and I'm not having any issues. Monitor HDMI (have an on-board that I ignore as the monitor's closer to me) myself, what kind of sound are you guys using? Might give a clue as to what the incompatibility is.

Typical on-board Realteak Audio -- no special HDMI Audio Output or anything like that, and only one sound device shows up in windows device manager / control panel.

I'm getting sound/music, but there's this annoying static noise that doesn't go away...

I installed the DirectX June 2010 SDK and now I have sound -- which is a bit bizarre as the DirectX SDK shouldn't be required for sound to work.
