I love everything about this game but it has its many bugs. Biggest problem is Im stuck in Jong's training yard after I exited the cave. It said press q twice but I pressed it twice and nothing happened. He even locked the door lmao cant even exit.
I only have 1 save game so I knew that Im fucked lol

the game is great. gog messed it up lol i bought it along time ago on win 98 and it worked perfectly and had controller support. i dont know what gog did but they screwed this whole game up. i wish they would fix whatever they did cause this version is trash.

It's working okay for me, but I had to use Proton AND Wine to get it to run with both FMV playback and working sample playback.

Running under Proton, it played well but cutscenes are black.
Running under Wine, it played cutscenes, but sample playback was choppy and echoey.

Eventually, I got Proton to create a separate prefix directory by running the game once, then used Wine with that prefix directory. Not sure why this was needed or if there's a better way.

I had the same problem with Jong. I experimented for a long time and found a solution.
First, save your game before talking to Jong.
Then, you must correctly perform a new combat technique AND hit the puppet AT FIRST ATTEMPT
If you accidentally perform some other attack or miss the puppet JUST REBOOT and try again.
As soon as you manage to hit the puppet with a new fighting technique from the first hit, Jong will say "Excellent" and release you.
