I keep getting a crash occacionally with a "fatal error" showing up which says something about direct x not working (I forget the exact wording) what should I do

Yeah I'm getting the same thing, it's an issue with directplay, each time it says it's installed but you always get the fatal error: Unable to initialize Network.
