help anyone?
funny thing is that it does work on a laptop with win 8.1
but not on my 2010 pc with win xp
any ideas?

Try deleting the winmm.dll file in the Revenant folder. You probably have a file of the same name in your Windows\system32 folder, which will be used instead. This worked for me in XP, where Revenant was crashing on startup.
