The manual says:

"For more information on any item in your equipped Inventory, simply R click on the equipped item. For more information on any item in your Non-Equipped Inventory, you need to bring up the Info Panel (the Scribe icon on the Menu Icons), and then ctrl + R click on the item in your lower inventory pane. (You may need to click the Backpack Menu Item to bring the Non Equipped Inventory back up)."

None of this works. I just beat Styxx (the cemetery boss at the beginning of the game) and I don't even know what the Emerald Ring does.
