Say guys, has any of you managed to make the fullscreen mode work with an integrated graphic card? I keep getting the error message that "There was a problem initializing graphics mode.... etc."
Is it just me?
I am using Windows 7 64bit
All the drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.

Not sure if this is what your problem is but did you run the program as an administrator?
Yeah, I did.
Hit the same hiccup a few hours back.

Trying to run it in fullscreen, or with a filter above 3x, causes that error message. I too, would love a solution if anyone knows one.

For fullscreen to work, you must select a fullscreen resolution that your graphics adapter supports.

The game's original resolution is 320x240, scale that up to 2x and you get 640x480, this resolution is supported by pretty much any graphics card out there. But if you select 3x scaling, you end up at a resolution of 960x720, which is not supported by any graphics card by default. Nvidia drivers allow you to create custom resolutions like that, for all other cards you will have to stick to 640x480 and fiddle with your graphics card scaling options to get that image to full screen (and hopefully the correct aspect ratio).

Well, at least I am not the only one.
What are your specs?

Yeah, but the problem is that it doesn't allow us to play in fullscreen at all. That is, regardless of the resolution. And 960x720 is fine but windowed.

Not even on 2x at 640x480? That would be weird indeed. Have you tried the DirectDraw 5 mode?
It launches and then it freezes whenever I as much as cast a glimpse on the fullscreen mode. Otherwise it plays fine, and it is kind of handy to play in a window but I really hope that they will patch it sometime soon. Or add some more resolutions.

"Intel HD Graphics 3000" and an nVidia GT520M (it's an Asus U31S with nVidia Optimus).

Turns out that even in windowed mode the game's not going to work. After a while, all the text boxes that pop-up automatically vanish after a quarter-second, and the cursor stops reporting the correct x,y values.

Yeah, I've got the same Intel graphic card and I did encounter the same problem a bit later as well... Well, why, thats very unfortunate.

My theory is that our graphic cards don't cut it somehow. Have you tried to launch it using an NVIDIA one? Did it work for you?

I think we should probably send the support some tickets and let them look into it.
I did add Resonance to the list of programs the nVidia GPU's supposed to handle via the control panel, but it made no difference. Then again, I don't know if that worked for sure or not.
Maybe tomorrow I'll uninstall the Intel card's driver and try again.

I'll open a support ticket and see where that goes as well. Thanks, and good luck.
Whenever I've had problems like this in the past, I fixed them by turning off any settings for my card that forced graphical features on games, like forcing AA or forcing v-sync or whatever. So check out whatever the Nvidia version of the Catalyst Control Centre is and look for anything like that.

As a temporary and kind of half-assed fix, you could try just lowering your desktop resolution to that of the game, so it will in effect be fullscreen.
