There is a benefit of having a "pure" Resident Evil experience on the PC, but seeing that REBirth offers enhancements and is free, I am curious if GOG would get permission to have it as an optional and installable DLC. Kinda like for the NSFW games on this site that have the "uncensored version" being unlocked as a secondary DLC.

I bring this up because GOG has included community patches in the past as part of the installer with Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines and GOG is hosting the upcoming Fallout London for use with Fallout 4.

After trying the game, there is still work to be patched in fixing issues and improving the DirectX wrapper. Offering REBirth for not only Resident Evil 1 but also 2 and 3 as secondary DLC would be great.

Then to make it the ultimate game they should include optional extra mods :D

Except REbirth is the remake. If a fanmod is naming it, that's confusing since Capcom Japan uses REbirth for the remakes of 1-4.

My patch is called *Classic* REbirth for a reason. Also, "Rebirth" was never the name of the RE1 remake for gamecube, nor any of the other remakes. that was a name fans came up with to distinguish it from the 1996 one.

No is not. Show me a gamecube version that says Resident Evil Rebirth. The re release for PS4, Xbox, PC it was also just Resident Evil. Some sites and store added the Remake. But the games are just called
Resident Evil, Resident Evi 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4.

Why not just install it yourself? Incorporating someone else's mods opens up a whole new dimension of issues.

And, I can also assure you that it won't happen. Another one of these unrealistic suggestions I read frequently here or elsewhere.
