I tried to download the game through Gog Galaxy and the game doesn't open, I get the error: "some of the data have been damaged. Please run the setup again." I tried to validate the files but it didn't work. Then I tried to install the game with the offline file and my antivirus (Panda Dome) detected it as a threat (trojan). I removed it, uninstalled panda and replaced it with the bit defender but it didn't help.

You need to open the directory where you installed the game, find ResidentEvil.exe, right-click it, select "Properties", select the "Compatibility" tab, and check the "Run this program as an administrator" box. Then click "OK" or "Apply".

It seems that GOG missed that the game throws "Some of the data have been damaged. Please run the setup again" if Resident Evil is run from an unprivileged account. However, it works if you click "Launch" from the installation window because the installation window itself is elevated, and ResidentEvil.exe would inherit the administrator privileges.
