Here's my suggestion: would it be possible for the GOG team to talk to the modders so that the HD mod is included by default? GOG, for example, has Daggerfall Unity. So could Seamless Mod HD also be included?

That's not GOGs goal with this release and as these versions are so mod friendly it will probably be possible to look at those mod sites and find a quick simple 1 click installer for all of them in the coming months as I am sure many mod developers will see this GOG release as the starting point since it works out of the box on modern computers and legal. That will be your best solution to having these mods become more accessible for average users.

For a quick explanation for why the mods wont be packed in if GOG were to use those mods as part of this release they would have to clear it with Capcom and have the unfortunate job of checking in with the modders to maintain any new releases, changes or problems that may arise which isn't really feasible when it's better to just release these versions working on Windows 11+ and let the user dictate what they want to do with their purchase

I'm not sure why so many unrealistic suggestions come up there... some expect GOG to implement 10 or 12 different censored and uncensored versions of the game, some expect the Director's Cut, or the HD remaster, some expect them to team up with obscure modders they have never worked with...

Come on, people. Be realistic, and stick to planet earth. It's absolutely insane and unexpected that we even get the originals here. GOG sells and we buy what is written on the package, nothing more, nothing less.
