Hello there!

The game was tested on freshly installed system, so it means there was no GOG Galaxy installed, and it run without any problems. We test all of our games this way.

So I'm 100% positive that the game does not require GOG Galaxy to work.

But, there might be other explanations to your issue

True. If you ever had installed pre 1.0 GOG Galaxy, there might be a chance, that you have some leftovers on your computer, even after client de-installation. Installing new GOG Galaxy will fix that.

So in fact installing GOG Galaxy does no't fix game (because it is not broken), but fix itself. But you know, beta.

I know you already submitted a support ticket, and the Support Team will try to look into the issue closer, to prevent similar things happening in the future.

Thanks for your consideration, and not jumping on the hate bandwagon :)

micktiegs_8: I wasn't intent on starting a bandwagon. I've never had this issue before, so of course I'm going to be a little confused and annoyed. I'm not supposing there is a plot to secretly add drm to future GOG games, either. It was an extreme situation example.
I understand, sorry if you felt like it was an attack on your person.

What I meant, and what is very common here, at GOG forum is that when OP post some problem, similar to what you wrote, there are lot of people that never bought the game, never had the same issue but are still ready to start a 25 page circlejerk. Conclusion of such topics is usually something, something GOG is evil and supports ISIS.

I guess we should be thickskinned enough already.
