I was just ordered by HQ to leave the 2nd Marine Jasta and to join the Sachensbar Jasta for my exclamatory performance (not exclamatory enough to be promoted to Hauptmann, however :) ). OK - this is new to me; does it mean anything other then such orders do happen in the military (all of them)? Just when some Fok D-VIIs arrived too :( . Well, most of the time I was flying the Phalz D-III - these guys have the better Alb D-Va.
BTW - I didn't know what I was missing - the old tube monitors actually have a better picture then the expensive flat monitor I have and I can use a glide wrapper without the stretch! The plane seems harder to handle, though and less responsive. Maybe I need to turn the speed up. next will be the PL2 - already downloaded and ready to be added.

When you want to transfer out, they won't let you, when you want to stay, they transfer you out. Seems to be typical leadership quality :)
Yeah, some of those tube monitors rock, I have one that can do a resolution of 1400x1600, beats the resolution of anything out there.

Funny thing is, the other squadron was at the same aerodrome. I think I know how this works. The past times I was in Jastas 2, 10, and 11 - all elite and nowhere to go. 2nd Marine is average and Sachenbur is good so I transferred up. Funny they waited until I had 17 Palz D-III kills, though. That pilot crashed and spent the rest of the war as a POW in his third mission - lower wing of the Alb D-Va fell off while chasing a SPAD XIII. Happened a lot to those Albs - guess I got too used to the Phalz's good diving. :) (realism is cool!)
