I recently bought the Red Baron pack, and I really like RB1, and I'd like to play RB3D, but SetSpeed throws the wonderful "I\O error 103" and won't allow me to change the speed. So it acts like I had moved the folder, which I have not. I installed to the default location, and then reinstalled to the same place, after doing a full uninstall, to see if that would help. It didn't. So in an attempt to fix the problem after reading up on some threads here and not really finding much, I deleted the file, which go figure, did nothing.

I'm about at my wit's end here, and I'm starting to wonder if I just wasted ten bucks on a pack where only one game works properly. I was hoping maybe someone here had some Ideas as to how to get rid of the effects of SetSpeed, or at least how to get it to run right.

Specs are as follows:

Intel Centrino Duo 1.8 GHz
AMD Mobility Radeon X1400
2 gigs RAM
Windows 7 32bit (Yes, I know officially 7 is not supported, but I saw that others got RB3D to run on 7, so I figured I probably could since my computer is a dinosaur.)

Don't install the game into the "Program Files" folder, but in a custom location like C:\GOG Games\
Also try Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (right-click the file to start => Properties => Compatibility tab) and try running it as Administrator (right-click => Run as..)

'C:\GOG Games\Red Baron Pack\' is the default location. I also have tried compatibility mode, as well as running as administrator, for both SetSpeed and the game itself. I appreciate you trying to lend a hand, though. If you have some more ideas, I'm listening and willing to try them.

Having just installed the game, I tried running it. All I get is a small window saying file not found. I X out of that and then the set speed window pops up. I'm also using Win7-64.

Oh, disregard. You're talking about after clicking run game in set speed. So for set speed to work in game, you have to start the game within set speed?

I believe you only have to do it once, and it's only really there for running the game in Direct Draw mode, and isn't really needed if you're running the game in Glide mode, which is what I want to do.
