I just purchased the game, it says its downloaded but i cant get it started nor can I find it on my desktop, What should I do so I can play the game.

Go to the folder where you downloaded the file from GOG's site. You'll have to double click on that file to actually install the game, and when done you should have a launcher in your Start menu and on the desktop.
