Ok, so far, I only played the first mission.
I don't want to spoil too much, but let's just say, there are two platoons involved and at some point, you (the player) make a decision.
Some time after that, something occurs (pretty predictably, I dare say..), and it seems there is no way anymore at this point in the mission, to radio contact Bravo platoon.
Did I simply miss something? Or is this a deliberate choice of the devs?
If the latter is the case, it's kind of lame...especially, since I have both artillery and helicopters at my disposal at camp, plus a second platoon in the jungle...but apparently no way of using any of this as support (again: if I made a certain decision ealier on).
From what I played so far, I like the game...but that restriction (if it is a deliberate one) bugs me.
And I would kinda understand the restriction on arty and helicopters from an "evolve the gameplay over time"-standpoint - but a restriction put on the second platoon?
Which is already out there?
For a very specific reason?
Makes no real sense.
