Yeah, i have been wondering about it as well since i have failed to connect to the lobby. But the game is 5 years old, they could have close it already.

Servers discontinued
Grid has had its official servers for the PC and PS3 shut down as of 19 June 2011. The servers for the 360 version are still running.

You know, Gameranger supports online play for GRID... but you will probably have to find others to play with beforehand, one way or another.

Thank god this game has a LAN mode. Grid 2 has none...when they shutdown the servers...thats it for the game :/

I have played this with just plain LAN with my son when the net was down.
