redcat22: Hello all. Will quake 1 run on windows 7? Thanks
If you're talking about the DOSBox version, it shouldn't have problems running on Windows 7 since it's emulating the DOS version. If you're talking about the official Windows ports from back in the day, WinQuake and GLQuake, you probably will need some compatibility fixes and wrappers like dgVoodoo 2 (WinQuake) or nGlide (GLQuake) to get them working on modern systems. For the Quake Enhanced version, a lot of people who use Windows 7 on it reported it plays but not everything, particularly the online multiplayer, will not function unless played on a Windows 10 system.
