I can't seem to figure out how to get Quake 4 to connect to a server, when I try to directly connect via IP I get stuck on a authentication loading screen. The server browser doesn't find anything at all, I tried adding in the master server into the cfg files for all cfg's and still nothing. Anyone know of a fix?

update: this is not a problem with the steam version server browser and connecting to a server in general works fine

apparently the gog version of Quake 4 has network play disabled, which is really unfortunate considering the steam version allows net play...RIP

It's strictly LAN or with ZeroTier.
