A friend of mine, who is a Mac user, wants to play this game, but I don't want to buy it for her until I know whether or not it will work on her computer. If you could see if it works under WINE or something similar, that would be great. It would be better if you could also explain how it works in WINE, as neither of us, nor any of our other acquaintances have any experience with it.

Hmm. So it looks like it works, kind of. Thanks for your input. That being said, neither of us know how to get WINE to run it, so any help with that would be appreciated.
