MacBook Pro (2016 with Iris Pro graphics) 16GB ram.

Latest GoG
Latest OS
Fresh reboot

I do not see anything obviously wrong in the console.

Does the game window open at all, or do you just see the console?

I only get a black screen with various loading messages.
loading lua
loading blah.texturepack

Then poof, it is gone.

Interestingy, a couple of reboots later, it gives me the title screen and update list and poof it is gone.

Try putting it on another drive if you're using Win10 and give admin rights. Win10 causes weird shit like that for me with specific games unless I put them on a drive that isn't C.
