Now, as I'm sure you've seen...sometimes you will come across a house that's already barricaded. And surrounded and full of zombies. The natural inclination might be to think *frik this* and find easier hunting, but it's well worth it.

The bounty in those houses is amazing. On the first one I didn't survive the trip back home (I overloaded and couldn't outrun the buggers) but on the 2nd time I was more modest with my haul. All 7 of them. 150 pounds worth of canned goods were there! Plus...so many other goodies. I was set for months!

Then I fell out a window and died.

Dang this game! SOOOOO great...I've never been so entertained! And it's not even 100% complete!

yah, I've found that those boarded up homes are usually great hauls but you have to fight for them. In one I had cleared out 4 zees in the main bit with only the bathroom to go thru. I casually opened the door thinking one maybe two.... but hellz no... there were FIVE in that tiny room. lol I panicked, got caught in a corner and was laughing screaming but somehow managed to survive. good times!

turns out that the 'story' of that place was that they were a group of survivors trying to make it, one got bit, perhaps hid it till too late and turned the rest. loaded to the brim with canned food, some weapons and ammo.


i love all these little stories that you stumble across in game....


one fancy house had a prepper story, complete with crates full of hoard, dead body with tons of nails, hammer on her, like she was in the middle of barricading but got killed. My husband just stumbled on 3 zees tucked in a cupboard... the story that tells is appalling....

Yeah that's what I figured too. A bunch of people get together, arm themselves, stock up and hope to wait it out. Too bad one was hiding a bite.....

That said, the 2nd story one of those I did even had the upstairs bathroom cupboards crammed with food and shotgun shells. Boxes of them. These people were READY. haha.
