Some weapon upgrades are objectively worse compared to their vanilla counterparts. Now I understand not all weapons are going to be equally viable, and that some upgrades are meant to be more of a tactical choice rather than a clear-cut improvement. But I would like to discuss some weapons here that I feel require buffs
1. Akimbo: Appears to have much lower range/accuracy and the increase in firepower is not substantial enough. Needs more firepower or higher range.
2. Four shot sawn-off: Way too high ammo consumption, four shells for a single enemy is overkill most of the time. Furthermore, the reload speed is remarkably slower and I feel the DPS isn't any higher. It needs to fire two rounds per click, only needing to reload on the second click. That would effectively improve its DPS.
3. The use of the spreader is questionable. It lacks consistency and it spreads flames everywhere, meaning you can harm yourself. This is especially annoying when you try to walk forward with the gun, you have a high chance of running into your own bed of flames. It appears to have lower range and seems less effective against single units. Obviously one benefit is that you can create a much larger 'bed' of flames, but that makes the weapon useful in only a handful of contexts, such as the last hell missions.
4. The proximity bomb would have been fine, if it kept the normal throwing range of a regular dynamite. The change to throwing range makes the weapon remarkably less effective against powerful ranged enemies that like to keep their distance as opposed to just blindly walk into you. Dynamites already explode when it hits the enemy, making the poximity feature even less appealing.
