I simply can't.

Once running, it crashes on anything: log in? crash.
Open again: crashes upon selecting single player.
Open a third time: crashes upon selecting any game mode.
Open a fourth: crashes upon clicking start.

Restarting, reinstalling, going offline or not doesn't solve anything.

Is there a patch missing? Outdated version? What is the deal? Could anyone confirm if they are able to play?.

I'm on an I7 770 with a GTX 1050 and 16GB of RAM, in case specs are relevant.

I can't help with technical things. All I can say is that I don't have trouble playing the game. Offline installer version 0.8.9 (at least I believe I installed the latest version) and I only play singleplayer offline.
I'm sorry, that I can't help more. Hope someone with more insight/knowledge shows up here.

Well at least I have company in the 'crashes at log in' group.

I think I can help.

1. Most Crashes are solved because the game does not have write access to the save folder in "Prodigy" at My Documents.

The installer is able to create the folder and base files but the program gets blocked and crashes start. This is due to antivirus, firewall or Windows Defender.

2. If your computer is too fast, you might load the game faster than it can logged you in (bottom right corner of the screen)
If you try to continue your game before this happens, the game crashes.

Just wait 5 seconds, click on the bubble, check you are online and you are good to go.
