Glad to hear you've sorted it out.

Perhaps you'd like to consider posting how you fixed it for anyone else who comes across the same issue in the future.

Since no one answered, I thought no one was interested. Anyway I found the answer on another site. So I solved it like this: when you go to click on the launcher "PrinceOfPersia", the control application opens that checks if you have the minimum requirements to start the game. In my case it didn't enable me the continue button because of the cpu which is not (obviously) a pentium 2.
So i can't play. Then do not close the application, go to click on "pop2".exe. The game starts. The control application can be closed later by opening the task manager "Alt+Ctrl+Canc", but it is not strictly necessary.
Thank you for the answer.

Well, most of the game/series boards are reasonably quiet, and your posts were only about 5 hours apart. But thanks for posting your solution!
