I've played the game on a console when it came out, and loved it to death. How's the PC port, though? Any chance it's actually good?
The PC port turned out really well. Ubisoft ports except WW/T2T were really clean to begin except some little glitches.
The mouse-keypad control is really quick to handle, joystick support exists aswel.
The graphics are better on this port and nearly no bugs.
GoG ported it really well too, but you maybe need to edit their *ini data because there is some issue with the fog.
Unless GoG already lifted it, lookie here:

It's very good. I played it without knowing that there was an earlier console version, and this is a great PC game, even better than his three predecessors (I had to disable the fog and the water effects because the game is a little outdated, but can be fixed editing the ini file).
I played the entire game with keyboard and mouse and was great.
The graphics are better than the PS2 ones, and if you use the widescreen resolution trick(see the sticky post) it will look like the PS3 version but without bugs :D.
Warrior Within and Two Thrones also are great games, but their combat systems are more elaborate and it's recomended to play with a gamepad(even the games says that at the begining), but their gamepad support is great. I have a genius maxfire gamepad and with almost all the games I have to configure the buttons or use 360ce(or something like that to simulate a XBox 360 controller). But with Warrior Within and Two Thrones, the games automatically detected my gamepad model and configure the buttons to the best layout for the maxfire.
So, Warrior Within and Two Thrones are also great ports, but you need a gamepad because of the elaborated combat system.
