Bristol3: This was my favorite game on my old computer. But I have successfully played it on Windows 10 even though it still is my favorite.

I had finally got it to play but only with the unacceptable water, which has been written about by everyone.

I had uninstalled it. Just read a post with another idea of how to fix the water.

So I downloaded and installed it again. And now I have the very old craziness that I had written about before and can't see the solution in the forum.

When I launch, I always get the message that it is "already running" and close the other one running. It is NOT already running. Argh!

When I launch the game, either from the directory as PR2 or from the short cut. Nothing happens. After a wait awhile and try it again, then I get the already running message.

I have Windows 10. I also if I get it running will get the corrupt water. I guess it doesn't like Windows 10. I do have Patrician 3 and Port Royale 1. My old computer, not a windows 10 died a fiery death and I had played this game a lot.

But I have other games, I guess. Thanks again for the interest. When I get the energy, then I will uninstall and reinstall again for the third (or fourth?) time.

You are just launching it once with the supplied shortcut and/or directly via the exe and you get TWO instances running? (Just want to make sure that I understand correctly ;) )

If this is so, closing the other one will get it running?
Man....really confused, but might be just me ;)
