I recently picked this up and installed it on my PC I use for old games. This computer has actually ran Port Royale on it years ago and has since had a graphic card upgrade. After downloading it and installation, it will sometimes crash after the intro cutscene. (This seems to mostly be triggered by me trying to skip the intro cutscene. If I let the intro cutscene play, it will generally continue on. )

UPDATED:
However, when it does continue past the opening cutscene, the gameplay will randomly pause and I will lose video signal to my monitor for about 2-3 seconds, then video signal returns and gameplay resumes. At any point the signal may come back to a black screen with game sounds, but no video for a few seconds then it crashes to desktop. It blames "PortRoyale.Ink" in the message box.

Thanks for any help.

Specs:
P4 2.7 Ghz
1.24 GB RAM
ATI Radeon X1300
Windows XP SP3

Try reinstall gfx drivers, I got a while ago similar problem with losing video signal due to a corrputed driver installation (it was not realated to any game)
Actually when the monitor is going down that means that windows is in "restoring mode" after driver failure and u could see error msg in that time - of course if u could see anything (M$ <3)

No dice. Still having the same issue. :-/

Sorry it took this long to reply, I haven't been in town much in the past couple weeks. I'll post if I get this thing figured out as well as any updates. Any suggestions are still appreciated.

Thanks.
