Port Royale 1 crashes whenever I fire the cannons. I have tried launching with our without the GoG client and as both the standard user and administrator. GOG today released an update that fixes the sea battles crash.

Confirmed. A clean install of the game just worked on the same PC. Thanks!

Yes, using Windows 10. As noted above, GOG's patch worked for me.
