The game starts, the opening animation runs, then I get the above message and it runtime-error-crashes. What's the deal?

Same problem. I just reinstalled it and I got this error, which there wasnt with the previous installation. I run it on Wine 1.7.53. Anybody could help us?


Just to get rid of doubts, is it possible to have an older installer (pre Galaxy?) of the game?

I solved my wine/linux issue (just a directory problem, running from its directory would have worked, so no error about installation as I thought).

Perhaps your issue is about compatibility mode: either run PR2 as administrator or in win98 or win95 compatibility mode or both.

Also, are you using Galaxy?

I've got the same problem with galaxy and win7 64-bit. Game starts but crashes demanding translation files. Are they missing form install or what?
