wormholewizards: Now i can run this game with nGlider, but i'm not sure i can share the trick or not since you must download the .iso and mount it.
phreakindee: The GOG version already has a Glide wrapper applied to it (see the version of glide2x.dll it installed). As far as I can tell and in my experience, you cannot use another Glide wrapper such as dgVoodoo on top of the GOG Glide2x wrapper. That just doesn't work.
You can use dgVoodoo with the original retail version of the game, which uses totally different EXEs and DLLs. But trying to use it with the GOG version will throw up a whole bunch of errors, because dgVoodoo requires its own Glide wrapper which is not compatible with the one from GOG.
I wonder if GoG version using Glide or Direct3D? Because i can see several artifact like black square behind certain object, most noticeable on Beach. For example, the pillar in Beach (or tree something like that) and devil & flying bat in Hellway track. But from Youtube video of retail version which emulate 3Dfx, there are no problem.
Apart from that i think GoG version is the most compatiblet for modern PC. I have read countless of issue from retail owner such as sound stuttering, no fmv, missing background music, crashes, graphical glitch and so on. Even with dgvoodoo it still produce several display glitch.
But from another information that i gathered, nGlide works better than dgvoodoo and the development still alive. The latest one released on August this year compared to dgvoodoo which was several years ago. But the problem with nGlide is it isn't compatible with Indeo, you must delete certain .dll file from windows. So, it is better to stick with GoG version without any modification for people who doesn't understand much about modding like me, apart from adding some tracks and cars. Because it will not strip down any of the content, and lot less buggier.
