I am certain this has been asked but isnt there any key like TAB or ALT to reveal containers , doors, loot etc? I remember there where but I cant find it. Perhaps I mixed this up with BG or something ?!?!

You can highlight interactive items in BG, but PS:T happens to be based on a different version of the engine that doesn't support this feature.
