So I bought the game today, having a lot of fun with it, so far. I'm still in the beginning area, and whenever I try to equip a robe or hammer, my game crashes, full stop.

I am currently running on a Windows XP Pro SP3 system, with an Nvidia 8600 GT card, dual core 3.00ghz Pentium processor, and a flat screen monitor, 1440x900 in dimensions. I have installed the widescreen mod, the UI enhancement mod (with 20x font size), and the big bug fix pack.

I would appreciate any assistance you folks could offer me in my predicament.

Yes, definitely start the game and start playing once before modding it. I don't think you actually need to save a game or anything, just load it up, and when you wake up in the Mortuary quit. Some mods might depend on files the game creates.

Alright, I did a fresh install and started a new game without the mods. I could wear the robes this time, with no crash. I'm going to install the mods now, and give it another shot.
