Is there any difference between Pixeljunk Monsters HD and Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate from Steam? I've skimmed through the descriptions for both and i still can't tell. Any help would be appreciated :).

Edit: What's confusing me is that it costs twice as much for the Steam version as it does here on GOG.

To clarify that statement, he means there's no online co-op in the GOG version, only local co-op. I'm sure that's to prevent people from buying one copy and then sharing it with their friends to play online.

The Steam version has both online and local co-op, but like the OP said, it's more expensive. Even right now, when the game is on sale on Steam and GOG, the Steam version is a dollar more (assuming it doesn't go on a daily or flash sale, in which case it might drop the price further).

So if online co-op is important to you, get the Steam version; if you're interested in single player only or just want local co-op, the GOG version is a better bet since it's not quite as expensive.

No. The developers used the crap Steam multi API. Which is fine unless you release the game on other platforms besides Steam. Then it doesn't work.

Yes, thank for him: telling him the difference between versions is good,
but telling him to buy on other spamming site is not: he can decide what is the more important to him: multiplaying or not endorsing DRMs.

There's also no Linux version on GOG, though Steam provides one. Any chance we'll see it on GOG any time soon?
