I just bought this, and I dont get how to play at all.. Theres no tutorial, and I don't see how to use any buttons, including how to save. I start off with a ship with no guns, so how can I pluder ships? I also don't understand how to duel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here’s a scan of the Captain’s Broadsheet that seems to be missing from the GOG release—it describes keyboard/mouse controls.

If you just have a sloop with no guns ram into another ship and it will take you to the duel/fight mode. Then you can take the ship and plunder it,arrrr! On these there is no tutorial. You have to read the manual.

Be sure to print out the Flags sheet; if you find yourself with a tiny crew and no guns every time a pirate attacks you, that'll solve your problem.
